We have been established for 6 years on the site of the old Maxi Meat Mart. We gutted and refitted the old butchery to reflect modern retail and hygiene standards. The owner, Steve Dewar, has over 30 years experience self employed in restaurants and hospitality (currently at Tides Restaurant on the beach at Torbay) and is passionate about quality New Zealand produce. Manager and Master Butcher, Karl Smith, has vast butchery experience having trained in NZ, and then doing his OE, working at the famous Ginger Pig Butchery in Marble Arch. Pinehill Butchery produces its own sausages, smallgoods and smoked products on site to our own specifications, ensuring freshness, taste and quality. The South African community has been very happy to take advantage of our more realistic pricing of their favourite products - biltong, wors, chilli bites. Particular attention has been paid to producing ham and bacon to the quality and flavour that your taste buds will recall from days gone by.
